Work Permit after Study in Singapore
All international students who earned a graduate or master’s degree from a recognized university can get a post-study work or PSW visa for two years. Those with Doctoral degrees can stay for three years.
Students can search for work in their field of study or in other areas. At the end of the two-year period, international students need to obtain Tier-2 or General Work visas. Alternatively, you can also apply for a skilled work visa earning a certain amount varying with industry.

Intakes in UK
Unlike a single intake in Indian universities, colleges and universities in the UK offer two main intakes. In some universities, intakes may also be referred to as a semester.

Following are the requirements to study in UK:
UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Services)
For undergraduate studies, you need to register on UCAS from January to June. Submit a personal statement listing your skills, choice of course, and hobbies/interests. Additionally, include a Letter of Reference from your school teachers and instructors. You can apply to a total of 5 universities, some of which will get back to you with a conditional/unconditional offer. The conditional offer will be based on the test scores.
UKPASS (UK Postgraduate Application and Statistical Service)
You can apply through UKPASS to 10 universities of your choice for postgraduate programs. You need to furnish personal details, a personal statement, and a Letter of Recommendation from your teachers/instructors. Some universities also offer direct admissions. There are no typical deadlines, but it is advisable to apply early.
Certain universities in the UK also ask for particular test scores. They are:
- GMAT or Graduate Management Admission Test is another exam for management graduates to get admission in UK universities. This exam tests analytical writing skills, Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Integrated Reasoning. This is a Computer-adaptive test giving an accurate judgment of your skill level for each section. Each correct answer increases the difficulty level of the paper. If you get the answer wrong, the computer simplifies the next question.
- GRE or Graduate Record Examination: This 3 hours and 30 minutes test has 3 sections, namely, Analytical Writing, Verbal reasoning, and Quantitative Reasoning. Students can appear for this exam either through pen-paper mode or a Computer-based test.
Also, you need to pass a language proficiency test like TOEFL, IELTS, etc., regardless of the course that you opt for and student visa. A good score on these tests helps to boost your overall application.
